High Energy Venturi Scrubbers

High-energy Venturi scrubber is one of the equipment of the flue gas treatment system provided by Chengdu Green Water Technology Co., Ltd.

Its function is to cool down and efficiently remove dust from the flue gas with high temperature, high humidity and corrosive gas to meet the requirements of downstream processes.

The particulate removal in the Venturi scrubber is based on the principle of inertial impact. Other impact mechanisms such as interception and Brownian diffusion also exist, but their effects are minimal compared to inertial impact.

The dust removal process can be divided into three links: droplet atomization, liquid-particulate agglomeration and droplet separation.

The first two links are carried out in the Venturi, and the latter link is completed in the separator.

The Venturi scrubber consists of a Venturi tube and a liquid-gas separator, with the Venturi tube comprising three sections: the inlet section, the adjustable throat, and the outlet section.

The inlet section is a contraction section equipped with a liquid distributor.

Within the Venturi, the efficiency of solid particle capture depends on the relative velocity between gas and water droplets in the throat, as well as the gas-to-water ratio.

To ensure effective particle removal across the entire flow range, an automatic throat diameter adjustment device has been incorporated into the Venturi.

The outlet section is a gradually expanding section where dust-laden liquid droplets separate from the gas stream due to the rapid decrease in gas velocity.

Due to the high temperature and corrosive nature of the incoming flue gas, Venturi tubes are typically constructed from stainless steel.

The function of the liquid-gas separator is to separate dust-laden liquid droplets from the gas phase, thereby obtaining purified flue gas.

This separator is constructed from fiberglass-reinforced plastic or stainless steel.

An expansion joint is installed between the Venturi outlet and the separator inlet to absorb vibrations and deformations in the piping system.
